World Refugee Day cancelled in Lewiston, Maine

Tomorrow, June 20th, is World Refugee Day created by the United Nations in the year 2000.

Each year since, it has served as a media hook for reports and glowing stories about refugee contributions to America. (The Left is so good at creating propaganda opportunities!)

But, for Lewiston, Maine this week, the word ‘refugee’ is not a happy word.

SPLC apologizes and shells out $3.375 million to man they placed on their Anti-Muslim extremists list

SPLCThat would be the 2016 “Field Guide” written by Mark Potok that they created to try to silence voices they disapprove of (yours truly is on it!).

This time their shoddy research cost them big bucks and a black eye.

I told you about Maajid Nawaz’s case here.

Turkey: Glorification of Murder, Martyrdom and Child Soldiers

The celebrations are not just about the glorification of guns and killing for national or religious purposes. The events are also marked by historic revisionism in which the genocide victims are blamed for their own extermination. There are many factors

How many Somali refugees has the US admitted since 1983?

Last week someone asked me to have a look at the numbers of Somalis admitted to the US since 9/11.

SAMSUNG

Minnesota is the most ‘welcoming’ state!

It so happens that the US State Department site, Refugee Processing Center (Wrapsnet) has the data very nicely organized since 2002, so the request was pretty easy to accomplish.

Pope and World Council of Churches to hold conference on xenophobia, migration, and populism

This should be fun to watch!

WCC logo

The Marxists at the World Council of Churches and Pope Francis think they are going to bring the world together in harmony and love with a conference in September on defeating xenophobia and the menace of political populism (just as a major power shift fueled by populism is sweeping Italy).

Maybe they would get a lot farther in bringing peace to the world if they cut out the insulting language….just saying!

The Battle of Kosovo, 1389: Islam Enters and Conquers Eastern Europe

PJ Media Editor’s note:  The following account is partially excerpted from the author’s new book, Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West (with a foreword by Victor Davis Hanson).  Why Eastern Europeans are much more reluctant to accept Muslim migrants than their Western counterparts can be traced back to circumstances surrounding a […]

Article in PA daily describes terrorists that killed Israeli policewoman as “Martyrs… young people that wanted to say a clear ‘No!’ to the occupation in their own way”

"On the third Friday in the month of Ramadan [June 16, 2017] the waiting does not last long. A burst of bullets split the tense atmosphere, and after it the sirens of police vehicles were heard. Suddenly many policemen in civilian clothing appeared and went toward Damascus Gate. Many young people got up and went toward Damascus Gate to check what is happening, but to no avail, as the occupation’s blockades prevented their arrival. After a few minutes an additional burst of bullets caused panic and confirmed that the third Friday of Ramadan would end with blood on the sidewalks of Jerusalem… While four young [Palestinians] lay prone on the sidewalk (i.e., 3 of them terrorists who murdered 1 Israeli) they evacuated the wounded female soldier, whose death was published shortly after. They acted toward the young [Palestinians] – three of whom later died as Martyrs (Shahids) – with indifference…
The smell of blood will continue to surround the holy and occupied city [of Jerusalem] until dawn. There are young people that wanted to say a clear ‘No!’ to the occupation in their own way.”

Important free speech case involving Twitter moves forward

I first told you about the case filed by Jared Taylor (American Renaissance) against Twitter here in February.

Now we learn that Taylor’s lawsuit can advance as a California judge refuses Twitter’s effort to dismiss the case.

Twitter-Jail-300

Editor: I use Twitter almost daily and was steadily moving upward in follower numbers until a few months ago.  It isn’t my imagination, I know that Twitter is doing something (maybe shadow-banning to some of my 14 thousand followers) to keep my numbers down. So they don’t have to ban you outright as they did Taylor, they simply make sure you can’t expand your reach.

Here is the news from AP at ABC News:

Lawsuit over white nationalist’s Twitter ban clears hurdle

More of Australia’s rejected migrants headed to your American city

It has been quiet for awhile—months I believe—since we’ve heard of another shipment of Australia’s rejected asylum seekers to America in that dumb deal Obama made and Trump is continuing.

Manus island detainees

Some of these men are your new neighbors!

Unlike feckless European leaders, Australia’s government at the time, rightly and successfully, blocked the arrival of migrant boats about five years ago and apprehended those trying to break in to the country.  They were packed off to offshore island detention centers and efforts were made to get them to return to where they came from.
